About Mach 1

At Mach 1 Chassis, every aspect of the manufacturing process is designed and quality-controlled by Mark Smith, an accomplished open wheel racer himself. Mark started designing and building race car chassis more than 15 years ago and brought his expertise to Mach 1 Chassis in 2008.

A certified welder and machinist, Mark knows every detail that goes into designing and building fast and safe race car chassis. He also knows that in order to be in a position to win races you need quality racing components—and everyone at Mach 1 strives to deliver only the best products every day.

Our shop in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, was recently renovated and features all the latest manufacturing and welding equipment to build top-of-the-line race car chassis and parts. In addition to chassis, Mach 1 fabricates front and rear bumpers, nerf bars, front axles, wing posts, wing trees, as well as repairs chassis by other manufacturers. There’s also a state-of-the-art shock dyno and flow bench to test fuel pumps, fuel systems, and nosels.

We also expanded our services to include custom fabrication. Whether it’s an out-of-production part or something entirely new you’d like to build, just let us know and we’ll provide you with a quote.
